给自己的信 Letter to Myself

Dear Khaleesha,

First off, I know that this is your first semester but don't panic as you will get through this. I heard that you need to choose to learn a foreign language this semester and you've made your choice which is Chinese For Beginners or known as Mandarin. You've made the right choice indeed.

Mandarin is an important language. It is very advantageous to be able to speak and understand Mandarin, apart from English and Malay language. By taking Mandarin, you will be able to communicate and get a better understanding with your Chinese friends. Besides, you can also use it if you travel to China in the future. In addition, it is an enjoyable language for you to learn.

In order for you to get a better understanding of Mandarin, you will need to make a promise to yourself that you will at least learn or speak Mandarin 3 times a week? If you keep this promise to yourself,  I believe that you will be able to speak Mandarin fluently soon enough.

During this short period of time, you should carry out some basic research first and ask yourself; What are your learning goals? and so on. There are so many articles and videos that introduce Mandarin language on the internet. You should read and watch these media in order to learn Mandarin within these 3-4 months.
